My favorite aspect of Julie Lessman's books is her spunky, passionate characters--and Liberty O'Shea is no exception. From the first page, you're drawn into the love-hate romance between Griffin and Liberty, who are clearly attracted to each other despite their protests.
And, oh boy, are there protests. As always, Julie's attention to detail makes for a delightful, historical setting that makes you forget we're living in the twenty-first century. In For the Love of Liberty, you're immersed in the story. So much that the end comes too soon, and you begin a hunt for another book by Julie Lessman.
I will say that if you're not into books with stick-your-head-in-the-freezer-kisses, this might not be for you. But if you enjoy romance, with a distinct message of Christ, you'll want to read Julie's Lessman's latest novel.
Without reservation, I give this book 5+ stars. I was given a complimentary copy of this book by the author in an exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
