Woohoo! It’s Friday!

Time for some weekend reading.

Week #4 on my blog. Grab the book nearest you and leave a comment with the first line.

My book to share is Love Everlasting by Julie Lessman–one of my favorite authors.

And the first line is…

“‘Okay, smile pretty–hot guys at three o’clock.'”

“Shannon O’Bryen smiled, more because of her friend Margo’s mumbled man alert than the need to charm any ‘hot guy.'”

Bonus, I gave you the first two lines so you could get a better picture. This is the second book in Julie Lessman’s Isle of Hope series. In the comments, leave the first line from the book nearest you and then head over to see first lines from some of my blogging friends:

    My first line is :
“The first inkling that something was wrong was the waking in the darkness to find the cat pawing at my face.” ~ The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware.
I’ve heard great things about this book. I am really looking to reading this mystery/thriller.

“Maude Welling’s twelve-year-old brother, Jack, raced across the waxed wood floor of the soda shop, straight toward her, then skidded to a halt.”
This first line comes from the book I am currently reading – My Heart Belongs on Mackinac Island by Carrie Fancett Pagels

  8. Heather

I don’t think I have read anything by Julie Messman, but I will have to look up her books. 😊

    1. Julie Lessman

LOL, Heather, if you look up Julie MESSMAN, you may not find me, so make sure it’s LESSMAN (just think … less man, more woman!) 😉 And just FYI, the prequel novella (A Glimmer of Hope) in my new contemporary series is available for free download, so I hope you take advantage. Here’s the link:

      Hugs and Happy Reading!
