It’s Top Ten Tuesday Moms Edition today. Here’s my list of best moms in Christian fiction. As a mom, I connect easily with main characters who are also mothers. Our Top Ten Tuesday topic of the day is mothers in literature–specifically Christian fiction. When you’re done here, check out my blogging friends top ten at Broke and Bookish.

Celia Porter

Single mother Celia Porter does everything for her daughter–even give up her dreams of owning her own bakery.

Elizabeth and Ashley Baxter

This series centers around the Baxter Family. Two moms win the award for Best Moms in Christian Fiction. First, the matriarch Elizabeth Baxter who leads her family with God at the center. Then, her rebellious daughter Ashley who returns from Paris pregnant with her son Cole. Both mothers exemplify sacrificial love that can only come from Christ. (The other moms in this are great too, but these are my top picks.)

Eden Martelli

Distrustful, Eden is another mom who is willing to lay down her life for her son. On the run, this story has romance, suspense, and a maternal connection that all mothers can understand.

Olivia Beckman

An accident made Livvie a widow. Hardworking, beautiful, and kind, she knows how to keep her two boys in line.

Sofia Rogers

In the same series as Livvie’s Song, her friend Sofia is single and pregnant in a time period where that was simply scandalous. She makes tough choices because of her love for her unborn child.

Eisley Barrett

Another single mom, Eisley Barrett makes her way to England and misses her children the whole time. When she’s reunited it makes for several sweet heart-melting moments.

Raina Beaumont and Ingrid Christensen

The mother of six children, Mrs. Christensen embodies love. Raina makes the choice to give up her daughter for adoption–a selfless decision–but the story doesn’t end there.

Amanda Holbrooke

Amanda Holbrooke exemplifies who Christ is through Christ-like love, forgiveness, and grace.

There you have it. Ten amazing moms in Christian fiction.

Who are some of your favorite moms in fiction?
