Our first Top Ten Tuesday topic ever is on book covers. I love books with couples on the cover. It tells me there will be a great deal of romance and as a hopeless romantic—that’s exactly what I’m looking for in a book.
Meant to Be Mine by Becky Wade
So you can’t see much of Ty Porter’s face, but you can see Celia’s. I love the pure joy you see on her face. The fact that you can’t see Ty’s face just means you can imagine it the way you choose. He’s the most swoon-worthy male lead I’ve ever read in Christian fiction and this book keeps you coming back for more.
A Love Like Ours by Becky Wade
You’ll hear me mention Becky Wade quite often. She’s my favorite author—and I won’t hide it. This book cover you can see so much about Lyndie and Jake’s personality. Lyndie just wants to unmask the bitterness in Jake while he slowly gives into his love for her. Just talking about this book makes me want to pull it off my shelf and read it again.
Just a Kiss by Denise Hunter
Riley, an injured marine, is in love with his best friend who has no idea. Secret: I received this book in January and I’ve already read it three times. I can’t get enough of this couple or Denise Hunter’s writing.
From the Start by Melissa Tagg
This is the first book I read by Melissa Tagg and now I’m slowly making my way through the rest. As I read this book, the descriptions matched the characters on the front so closely that I had no trouble believing it was them. Don’t they look like so much fun? My biggest pet-peeve when it comes to book covers is when the characters pictured don’t match the author’s description. Not a problem here.
Can’t Help Falling by Kara Isaac
I bought this book purely because of the cover. I can see the closeness between Peter and Emilia and the little spark in her eyes just drew me in. The book holds to the expectation that the covers promises.
Just The Way You Are by Pepper Basham
Aren’t they the cutest thing? If you couldn’t tell from my review of this book, I loved it. It’s a definite must-read. Add it to your TBR pile. If nothing else, see this cover? Ah-mazing.
Caitlyn’s Christmas Wish by Laura L. Walker
A story of second chances, I wanted this couple to make it from the second I saw them on the cover. There’s just something about pictures of couples gazing into each others eyes… Oh, and if you want to know more, see my review.
Love Story: A Novel by Karen Kingsbury
I haven’t read this yet as it is not set to release until June 6, but it’s about John and Elizabeth Baxter—the foundation of the Baxter family. I’ve loved every book of the Baxter series, and I can’t wait to read this one. Also, you can pre-order it for a discounted price.
Through Every Storm by Sharlene MacLaren
This couple has to weather an impossible storm—that of losing a child. It’s been ages since I read this, but I related to it on a deep level because of my miscarriages. The pain in her eyes, her husband behind her—made me cheer them on while their marriage fought to survive.
The Wonder of You by Susan May Warren
I actually haven’t read this yet, but it’s on my TBR pile. In one of the other Christensen Family novels, I saw a little glimpse of Amelia. This book cover made the list because of the sweet way Roark is holding Amelia. I can’t wait to see them fall in love.
Aren’t those beautiful book covers? What do you look for in a book cover?
